From May 15 till May 17, 2018, a key exhibition event in the field of event industry and incentive tourism, Imex 2018, where market professionals from 150 countries take part on an annual basis, will be held in Frankfurt. For the first time Russia will be represented at Imex with a collective stand Russia Open To The World, organised by the Russian Convention Bureau.

Association) was
established in November, 2017 with support of the Government of the Russian
Federation to form and promote a positive image of Russia as a favourable place
to hold events of any scale and attract international meetings. Russian Convention Bureau is actively working to
interact with buyers (professional event organisers, corporate customers,
non-profit organisations, professional industry associations). Russian
Convention Bureau’s tasks include organisation of
familiarisation tours to Russian regions for potential customers, as well as
participation in tenders for the right to hold international events in the
Russian territy.
Russia Open To The World is the national stand of the Russian Federation representing the event potential of Russian regions at specialised exhibitions and fairs on the international market. "One of the key tasks of Russia's participation in international events is to present the event potential of the regions of our country and their infrastructural possibilities to the largest world market players, says the head of the Russian delegation, Director of National Convention Bureau Association, Alexey Kalachev. "By collecting the Russian industry professionals at the national stand, we are planning not only to vividly show Russia's great potential but also to determine the prospects of cooperation with our foreign colleagues."
